Every year on February 25-26, Kuwait celebrates its liberation from Iraq as well as its independence as a nation. At school this year, I and another teacher helped out with the planning for the celebration. The day's events included film screenings of two films detailing the liberation of Kuwait as well as an art and drama activity. A buffet lunch followed and then a performance where students showcased traditional dances, poetry, and drumming. It was a fun day and a great opportunity to see our Kuwaiti students highlighting their cultural heritage. Enjoy!
